Our Philosophy

Cognitivity was formed in 2001 to create flexible, intelligent learning software developed to meet corporate training needs. Designed from the ground up to work with the latest standards, Cognitivity's learning engine consists of both a Course Management System (CMS), used to serve courses, and a Learning Management System (LMS), used to track students as they progress in the system.

Cognitivity's founders are well-acquainted with the frustrations of forcing humans to adapt to software instead of building the software to seamlessly flow into an existing human task. The whole purpose for machines in general — and computers in particular — is to augment human capabilities.

Cognitivity is also sensitive to the dilemma of producing great training that depends on a proprietary system. Cognitivity's enterprise software is designed to be standards-compliant from the ground up, using IMS standard files as its native format.
